The utility services are provided by the City Of Mandeville. The children of The Shadows can attend Pontchartrain Elementary and Tchefuncte Middle Schools, both of which consistently rank at the top in statewide test scores. The older children can attend Mandeville Jr. and Mandeville Sr. High. There are a number of well regarded private and parochial schools within a short distance.
