Century Oaks Information

Century Oaks has many of its namesake Live Oak trees on the lawns of the homesites, many ¾ to 1 acre in size. It is a horseshoe shaped street with both intersections connecting to Sharp Rd, behind St. Timothy's Church. Like all subdivisions along Sharp Rd, it was subject to development restrictions that required the first 600 feet off Sharp Rd. to have minimum 1 full acre size lots to prevent the look of a crowded subdivision. But the entire parcel of lots was only slightly deeper than 600 feet, so a compromise was struck in 1985 lots could be a bit smaller, and there would be a 5 acre parcel fronting Sharp Rd that would remain forever as a wooded park. What a lovely contribution to maintaining the country feel of the area !!

There are only 30 homesites, finding a typical home to be 2600 square feet. By traveling down Sharp Rd. to Hwy 59, you have easy access to head out to the little league parks, or on to shopping malls in Slidell, via Interstate 12. Century Oaks is not located within city limits, but is served by the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office and like most of our subdivisionsserved by private utility companies.
